LOST DOODLE ALERT! - ATLANTA GA

IF YOU ARE IN THE ATLANTA, GA AREA, HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

 

LUCY WAS PULLED FROM HARNETT COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL IN NC ALONG WITH ANOTHER GOLDENDOODLE ETHEL. BOTH GIRLS ARE HEARTWORM POSITIVE HAVE RECEIVED TRIAGE AND BASIC VETTING BUT ARE NOT YET SPAYED. LUCY WAS DOODLE TRAINED TO FRANNIE SPECTOR IN ATLANTA FOR FOSTER CARE, HW TREATMENT AND SPAY SUGERY. AT 10:00 PM LAST NIGHT SHE BOLTED. LUCY WAS LAST SEEN AT 6:30 AM THIS MORNING.

 

FULTON COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL AND THE ENTIRE ANIMAL WELFARE COMMUNITY IN THE ATLANTA AREA HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED AND ARE DOING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO RECOVER LUCY.

Frannie,

I am so sorry.  You must be heartbroken, worried, and devasted.  Some dogs are so clever and plan the escape.  Others are so terrified it is impossible to keep them from bolting.   I had a foster get out of a harness and rescue collar at the same time.  Just impossible, even with the Best Foster Moms, as YOU ARE

You are in my thoughts and I wish you the best.

This is heartbreaking I am hoping hard that Lucy will be found and gets back to foster care as soon as possible.  I'm trying (in my mind) to envisage how, if she is found she can be caught if she is so terrified of people?

Oh dear. So very sorry for the pain and distress this is causing when you are such a wonderful person to take on such a difficult task. Many prayers flying up to Heaven for you and Lucy so that this tragic story can have a happy ending like so many of our wonderful rescued doodles. Try not to beat yourself up with the guilt, the poor girl is totally distrusting of any person after coming from such a wretched environment...maybe a miracle will happen. Your doodle sisters are sending out enough prayers so who knows...:)
