Lucy and Ethel passed their CGC evaluation!

I couldn't be more excited.  They also tested them for C.L.A.S.S. (canine life and social skills) and they passed that too.  Now for therapy dog training and they should be ready for that evaluation in a couple months.

You have every reason to be proud.  My thoughts though are that if you can pass the CGC, you can pass the therapy test.  The only difference is they are going to toss in some medical equipment (walkers, crutches, wheelchairs and things like that).  If yours aren't skittish with things like that, I'm not sure I would spend extra money specifically on Therapy Dog Training.  It isn't a requirement.  Go to the websites for the test and see what the skills required are .... you just might be ready to go now.  We took the Delta Society test and they don't require the CGC, so we never took it.dr  Best wishes and again, Congratulations.

You know, I was thinking the same thing, but had it in my mind that the training was mandatory.  I will print out their testing sheet and see just how much they could pass, and work on the rest.  Thank you so much for the suggestion.
