My mom "helped" to clear the table from lunch and put some leg and wing bones on a plate the counter right by the edge... when I had them safely right in the middle of the dining room table :/

Heard a "crunch crunch" from the other room and caught Luna in the act.. I *think* she just got one,  and I'm hoping it was actually one of those cartilage caps from a leg bone.. but who knows.

I checked her mouth for any fragments and didn't see anything.  I gave her 2 slices of bread right away and called the vet ER... they said to just keep an eye for any GI issues for 48 hours and wait it out.  I'm going to give her some more bread tonight for good measure.

:(

DH and I are very worried... one of DH's friends lost a young dog to eating a chicken bone off the street.  Keep your fingers and paws crossed for us!

*update #1*

So far so good this morning... no "evidence" has surfaced but Luna seems to be fine.  She loved the bread last night ;)

*Update #2*

Well it's been almost 2 days and Luna seems to be fine :)  Phew.  No "evidence" so either she digested the bones or it was just cartilage.

Haha DH's mom gave her one a few years ago... She has no interest in it.  She isn't fooled ;)

So glad she seems to be doing ok. :)

Thank goodness.  It is so scary when they do something like that.

Oh, this is great news. You must be so relieved.

My bubba ate three chicken wing bones when he was about 6 months old, thank goodness he was alright and a few days later we saw the digested pieces in his poop. Oh, he also ate and passed a disposable razor he got out of the bath tub. We learned our lesson very fast with bubba, he sure keeps us on our toes!

Oh I am so relieved to hear this update...sending prayers and doodle hugs your way!

Good to hear. I hope whatever is in or left passes easily and then you'll know for sure.
