Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
So awfully difficult to write about -- I've not been on the site in ages; things had been going so well with our 3 1/2 yr old chocolate mini-Australian labradoodle. His pictures don't even do him justice. We get stopped every time we go out with him; he is just so adorable and sweet natured. But we were shocked and devastated to learn last week of his diagnosis - I can even feel his enlarged lymph nodes I'm waiting for a call back from a recommended oncologist tomorrow; even had a homeopath friend check with some of her colleagues here and all advised the same. Have to wonder if/what others have experienced. I want to give Bosco a fighting chance IF it's reasonable to do so. I read of one other Labradoodle who went through chemo and the results - which I know is not curative, only palliative. Our hearts are just breaking.

I know, right? LOL!
I didn't see the top photo the first time -- I'll caption that one "Love you Mom!"
Awww, sweet. <sigh>
He is such a good boy, my Bosco. I had let a grooming slide with all that's been going on and he was starting to get all matted. In preparation for Friday's appointment, I just used GloCoat and got a good four knots out of him in the past hour....in between some very definite bald spots. The Cytoxan definitely worked on more than the blood cells but we can deal with that.
He is so sweet and so obviously well loved! Love the family/yoga pictures too, and yes, it looks like he is correcting your down dog for sure! Hoping that everything continues to go well!!!!
Yes - that was my son's gf who decided to spread her yoga mat outside on the grass rather than go to a formal class so she could spend more time here with Bosco. He definitely is loved.
My husband took him to today's onc app't where blood work remained good; Vincristine was given as the next step in the protocol. The prayers, ++ thoughts and loving wishes are certainly helping.
Thank you so much for the update. Bosco is so lucky to have your family. He certainly is loved and cherished. I am glad that Bosco is doing well with treatments so far.
I have no experience with this and am so very sorry you are dealing with this...tight hugs and prayers being sent to you. Best wishes.

Enjoying the gift of Bosco and appreciating the happiness he's brought into our lives. No treatment today; low white cell count :-(
Susan, your heart & your attitude are truly inspiring. Sending hugs for you and for Bosco. :)
Sorry to hear that his cell counts were down, but I have to say that he looks really good. Hopefully he is feeling ok as well. Continuing thinking of you guys every day. Extra hugs this week.
Thanks - I am reassured by how he looks and acts; I think it's the effects of the prior chemo. He (and we!) could use the extra hugs this week. Your pooches are looking great (finally had the time to take a good long look!)
