Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Mr. Handsome is now ready for his new forever home! He is one awesome doodle and I adore him! Bolt is a Goldendoodle with a wool coat that sheds very little. He will be four years old in December. This handsome dood is approx. 25 in. at the shoulder and weighs approx. 70 lbs. He has gained several pounds since he's been with us but the vet feels he could gain just a couple more pounds to be at a good weight for his size. He loves rides in the car, swimming, wrestling with his foster sister, chasing squirrels and giving big wet sloppy kisses in the morning to all of us, including Sheba and Duke. He has started to catch frisbees and loves to chase balls. Most times he plays his version of fetch -- throw me the ball and chase me to get it back. Bolt is wonderful in the house and there is no need to crate him, he has complete run of the house. Bolt is a happy boy and his tail is always wagging. He has loads of energy and needs plenty of exercise. He walks nicely on a leash and loves to be close to his people. He would do best in a home with no cats or small dogs. He could be an only dog but would enjoy the company of another dog that is around his size with an easy going personality.

Bolt came from a family that had a very busy lifestyle and he was left alone for hours each day either in the house, garage or outside. He was underweight and pretty boney. Due to his poor nutrition and a very bad case of hookworm his coat was very dry. His ears were packed with hair and he had an ear infection in both ears along with an upper respiratory infection. sHe is a smart boy and figured out how to unlatch the gate to his yard. He had free run of the neighborhood, at times, which wasn't so great as he had not yet been neutered. He needs a fenced yard with at least a five foot high fence with a very secure latch. Bolt is now neutered, microchipped, up to date on his shots and feeling much better. His coat is growing in much softer with good nutrition and supplements.

Bolt is being fostered in Lima, OH and soon his profile will be posted through the Doodle Rescue Collective. If you'd like to learn more about this handsome boy, feel free to send me a personal message here on DoodleKisses.

There is pure joy in this photo!

This is one calendar shot for sure.  I hope his new family joins dk and takes pictures.  He is quite photogenic.  Thank you for getting this big boy off to a great start in his new life.

Now that is one BIG BEAUTIFUL DOODLE BOY!!

I'll be sure to tell him you said that Sue! : ). I agree with you!

He is just beautiful, Ann, and he sounds like a wonderful boy. Thank you for fostering him, getting him healthy, showing him what it means to be part of a family, and helping him find his way home. Thanks to Duke and Sheba, too!

Bolt? What a name. I hope his new family changes it, especially since he's an escape artist!

Thank you Karen. He really is a wonderful boy..and he's all boy!! Lol. He has such a fun and BIG personality and is one big goofball. He's a smart guy and reminds me a lot of Sheba when it comes to intelligence and mannerisms.

I LOVE his name!!!  Too funny given that he can escape - shows what a smart boy he is.  Let's hope he didn't "make" any doodles while out and about.  He is so beautiful - I hope you find him special people to be his forever family.  And thank you Ann!!!

You and Mike are great Ann for all you do for these fosters. You bring out the best in them.

Thank you F. I think they help to bring out the best in us too. : ). We've had so many great fosters and thankfully almost all of the folks that adopted them keep in touch and let us know how their doing. It makes my day when I receive a text, phone call or an email with photos or a movie attached.

This photo deserves it's own posting.
