Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi everyone...
I wanted to know if there is difference in the characteristic in the size of the goldendoodles.
I love the way they look and how they act so human, goofy and all.
I don't want a standard but I would like a medium or a mini.
I notice some breeders weights are different.
Some would breeder mini would be a medium with another breeder.
I was thinking of getting a doodle that would be between 25 and 35 pounds..
Would I still get the same long legs and characteristic as a doodle? or would it look like a small cavapoo...

Annabelle is a mini. She is 2 years old and weighs 16lbs. Since she loves to lay on my lap, I am glad she is small. She was the smallest in her litter. She doesn't have long legs, but girl can sure run.The range the breeder gave was 18-30lbs for the litter.
Tara is a mini ALD and she weighs 20-21 pounds depending on the season! LOL Her litter was predicted to be 18-25 pounds. Her legs are proportionate with her body, more poodle-like and not short. But remember the breeders use miniature poodles to create the minis so the legs can only get so long! :) You may have noticed that there is a lot of variety in size, body shapes and leg length even in the standards so these things can really vary from litter to litter and even within a litter. They're technically a mixed breed so the genetics can still be quite random.
Here is a good link as to what to look for in a breeder.
