My GoldenDoodle, Ziggy (4+ yrs) is up for adoption (Portland, OR area)

I need to relocate my adorable, loving, goofy GoldenDoodle, Ziggy Clouseau. I love him dearly, but can't care for him any longer.

Ziggy is 77 lbs, tall and lean. He is active, but also loves to hang inside by my side. He has climbed St. Helens every year and really loves to xc ski. Ziggy does really well in snow due to his long legs and large pads. He can carry 8 lbs backpacking. He needs room to run and requires a 5 ft. fence. He does not require a leash on hikes. He is very sociable with people and dogs, but sometimes is unaware of his own size. Only mix Ziggy with small children that lean toward being sturdy and fearless.

Ziggy barks when he wants to play. He's smart and obedient to his proven master. Unfortunately, Ziggy is diagnosed with hereditary grand mal seizures. The seizures are controlled with medication; providing he receives his pill every 12 hours. Cost is approximately 44.00 every 3 months.

Ziggy needs a big dog playmate or dog outings and room to roam. A trial period such as a weekend would work to find out if he is a good fit for his new owner.

Ziggy is beautiful and looks like a fabulous dog. He reminds me of my first doodle Tahoe!  Wish I didn't live so far away!  Please consider contacting DRC -- they can help you with this unfortunate process.

I am sorry to hear you have to part with him... he seems like such an amazing dog!!! Oddly enough... I think my puppy Riley will look a lot like him when she grows up! I hope he relocates to a wonderful home..
