As per Adina's request.... here is a place for us to discuss our thoughts on the new front page.  I am still navigating and trying to see how I like it... I will say though - that I miss having the slide show up top!

Ahhhh the blessed "RANDOM" -- the option that used to exist and then was snatched away from my happy hands. I've been begging the tech gods to give it back to me. That alone would make me incredibly happy...then photos that are added last still get seen and you never know which photo will pop up first.

Do you mean you'd like to have a slide show theme of "Member Favorites"? We can definitely do that and have done so once before =)

Yeah, I was thinking that members could choose/submit one (and only one) photo of their doodle to show off each week. No theme, just their favorite, "best" shot. :)

Too bad the RANDOM slideshow feature is currently not an option. Is the problem with the way the programmers at Ning have written the code? Do you think we get results if we all bombarded them with emails, begging them to restore the random slides feature? hint hint...

I. too, fall into that category of only entering the slide show once due to not having any pictures that matched the theme. If you want more participation in the slide show, I second the motion to allow members to submit a favorite photo more than just occasionally.

Its a shame RANDOM isn't an option any longer on the slide show. Why is it we still have it on our pages?

My slideshow is random on my page. At least I thought it was. I'll have to watch it a few times and see.

Mine is now on random - I didn't even now it was an option, so this discussion is showing me so many new tricks!

Was there a button you clicked to change it to random? Mine starts all over with Clyde's photo each time I refresh the page or leave the homepage and come back.

If you click the Edit button by My Photos, there will be a choice of Random from the dropdown menu next to "From"
Mine is working just fine.

This page seems fine to me except I don't like how the right side isn't balanced with the left... meaning the left has a lot more stuff than the right.
