Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I have a new moyen poodle puppy named Molly and she is such a doll but she's also so small! I had her shiipped to me all the way from Georgia because I wanted a smaller poodle.. Her breeder told me she would be in the 30 pounds range and roughly 18 inches tall... now she's 4 months old and she's only 11 pounds and teeny. Pictures and sizes of her parents are below.. I love her to pieces. She's a great little dog.. my first little dog.

What do you guys think? How big do you think she'll get?

This is her Dam 35 pound 19 inches

This is her Sire - 20 pounds and is 17"

This is 4 month old Molly 11lbs

Playing with one of my F1b Labradoodles who weighs 15 pounds at 12 wksI took these pictures today.. I have to admit she's freaking adorable but she looks nothing like her parents. YET. My husband keeps saying.. are you sure she's a poodle? Haha! Because.. she does kinda look like a doodle but her frame and bones are much smaller then my doodle puppies. I wonder what she'd look like with a clean face? I totally love the doodle look she's got going on and I love her eyes. They used to be green but they're turning yellow..green now.

I was the prier owner of all 3 Irish bought them from me. I have there grand children Syren and Ariel.  You cant jude a poodle by wait, they are way to refined as puppies and dont fill in untill about 18 mths, poodles can continue to grow in body as well as a lot of breeds, until 2 years of age this is one of the reasons they say not to breed them until after that. Irish has Pinky/Echo my pick pup from MJ's first litter with Romeo, ask her about her size, she should be about a year old now. One you shave her face you will keep it like that it is so beautiful.( the pic is Pinky/Echo) @8 weeks

Oh and Pinky/Echo is beautiful and looks a lot like Molly!

Molly ended up being 18 inches tall and about 20 pounds. :) I now own her Aussiedoodle daughter Mya and she is a doll.

I'm curious -- What does Molly look like now?

and here is another one of her daughters.. Mini Aussiedoodle...

She's very pretty.  Her coloring is similar to my Charlotte's, who, by the way, ended up smaller than we had originally expected.

My vet told me that you can usually take a dog's weight at 4 months of age and double that to estimate his/her adult weight. However, I read that Poodles can continue growing for up to 2 years of age. So, I don't know if that rule of thumb would apply to Poodles or Doodles. Regardless, Molly is adorable. I look forward to seeing more pix of her as she gets bigger.
