Odd drinking habits

Luna is what I like to call a "character"  (read: she's a bit weird)

She has many odd habits... and her drinking habits are some of the oddest (I think).

1. She will NOT drink the last 1/2" of a water bowl unless she is REALLY desperate.  We fill up her water bowls at least once a day (and she has one on each of the 3 floors of our house) because she refuses to drink that "bottom" water.  Apparently it's not fresh enough.  

2. She drinks water then uses her wet mouth to clean her water bowl.  Luna takes a few very sloppy sips, then quickly transfers some of the water to her food bowl to clean it out.  Piggy or clean freak?  No clue.

3. Sometimes when drinking out of puddles (I discourage this, but she can't always be stopped) she usually blows bubbles in the puddle.  Why?  No one knows!

Luna may be a bit odd, but her quirks are entertaining :)

Trav much prefers fresh water too.  I dump his bowl when half the water is gone.

Silly doodle.  My family dog growing up was like that - if it was kibble, she would only eat when no one was around (she was free-fed).  You'd hear her munching away at 11 pm after everyone was in bed :p

She is a cute silly girl!! Mine do not like "bottom water" either. They will not drink the water from few hours ago, and ask me to get fresh water. They got me trained well!!

Luna you are such a funny girl! Quincy doesn't have a problem with drinking water but he does have sort of a water quirk. The doodle who has to step in every puddle, ditch and water of any kind that he sees acts like he is going to the electric chair when I have to wash his paws in a bucket of water, go figure.

Haley is just the opposite.  He will not step in puddles but accepts having his paws dipped in a bucket of water.

Luna loves puddles and pools but hates bath time... I even make the water nice and lukewarm for her but she prefers the freezing cold puddles...

What a funny post!  Maybe there is such a thing as doggie OCD.  She seems a bit obsessive compulsive about her water and bowls!  How cute!

Dogs really like their routines.  She has a few more (visits to anyone in the bathroom, licking our legs after showers, going outside just to sniff before she eats breakfast, cuddles before bedtime... the list goes on)!
