OMD, did they just do it?

I keep seeing pictures of DK-ers' two doodles snuggling and it's just breaking my heart since my two never snuggled together. Then I tried to rationalized with the fact that most of the snuggling doodles are a boy and a girl. Perhaps two doodle boys don't snuggle.

The only affection I see on occasions are brief licks when they are waking up in the bed with me.

I was working on my computer today, Auggie was laying on Monty's pillow next to me. Here comes Monty and he squeezes himself between my chair and Auggie and puts his head on Auggie's paw. Right before he did that, he licked Auggie's eye as Auggie lifted his head to see what's going on.

OMD!!! I can't believe it! They actually snuggled. It lasted for good 15 seconds while I frantically tried to take a picture from my chair. Then Monty got up and went to take a nap somewhere else.

I suppose it had nothing to do with the thunders outside.... or maybe yes. Monty sometimes gets a little worried about thunderstorms.

But still! They touched without using their teeth! It was brief, but it was there! They made my day!

That is such a sweet picture. Maybe you can blow it up and make a print on canvas for you to look at often. My two do cuddle but I think it's more by accident and one might just be where the other wanted to lay, so he/she just lays as close to the preferred spot as possible. They are adorable when they are together and not jumping around like boxers in a ring.

That's wonderful and great you got some pictures.  My two adore each other, play all day, follow each other about but like yours hardly ever snuggle.  If Boris gets too close to Riley he ups and leaves. They do snuggle on the way home from day care but that's because they are exhausted and there isn't much space in the back of the car. On the bed Riley is at the end on my feet and Boris is length ways up the middle of the two of us with his head on the pillow. Maybe this is a boy/boy thing?

awwwww snuggle buddies!!!!  LOL Monty licking Auggie's eye!!!  My two like to snuggle when it's cold.

So Sweet.  You need to make a print of the close up.  Ned, Gordie and Clancy don't often snuggle but if there is a snuggle involved it is Clancy and one of the others - Clancy is our snuggle buddy.

Tank and Sully are very bonded, there is only 3 months difference in their ages. But, it's more Sully (red), he's the lover of the family.  Beau isn't a snuggle bunny and he's just gotten so he will sleep touching Tank (rather Tank will let him).  I don't think Beau/Tank will ever be as close as Tank/Sully.  But, they all get along so I count my blessings.
