My pet insurance is up for renewal and wondered if anyone had any advice about policies, for mutliple dogs, deductables and coverage or exclusions I should look for, and recommendations?

Thanks

We have VPI, I have been pleased with the coverage for our two Doodles. Be careful of exclusions with most other policies.
This is a pretty good previous discussion on Pet Insurance. I'm sure you can find lots more info if you do a further search. Many people have posted specifics on what their particular insurance has paid on particular bills. There are so many variables when you are looking for Pet Insurance that it is hard to recommend from one person to the next when you aren't really sure what is important to you. For me, it was all about the big things that might come up. Particularly with 2 doodles that play so rough in the back yard my thoughts were more about accidents (broken leg) and things like hip dysplasia that might happen versus the expenses that I was aware I would have when I got them. I can handle a $200 vet bill, it is the $5000 ones I was concerned about. We ended up going with Pet Plan as many others did because they will cover genetic things like Hips. There is an extra co-pay for specialists, but it is still better than the entire bill.

ditto - we got ours for emergencies, possible hip problems, cancer, etc....
Pet Plan.
Same thoughts here as Lucy's. I didn't have insurance for Murphy alone, although the thoughts of broken legs did cross my mind as he has always played rough with Marley, who is 20 pds heavier than him. But now that I have Bella who chews on anything and everything, and is playing with both Murphy and Marley I thought it best to plan for the big vet bills she might require. A few hundred dollars doesn't scare me, however, the thousands makes me shudder. It seems a small price to pay for the peace of mind. I have Pet Plan as well.

You can tell them Finley and Julie Bowles sent you via the doodlekisses website!

I chose Pets Best because it was highly recommended to me.
We have PetPlan, they have paid 3 fairly large claims for us since June. We have been quite happy with them. There is a previous discussion on pet insurance, which offers very helpful information.
I am also looking at insurance for our three doods and have looked at a lot of plans. The more I look, the more confused I get. Does anyone have a plan that includes wellness visits, spaying as well as illness and accident. The only one I have found is Embrace. Does anyone have this company?
