I feel exactly the same way, F. Here's what I keep telling myself about these situations...DK is kind of a "Doodle slice of life". There are going to be some people who use the site like they use lots of other web sites....for information. They will not get invested in the other DK members or their dogs...they are just looking for information when they need it. I'm one of the "invested ones" who has gotten to know so many of the Doodles and their awesome owners (friends), but I think I just need to accept that not everyone has the time or interest or inclination to participate on DK the way that I do. That doesn't take away my frustration when I'm wondering what happened to the sick Doodle, but I think it just "is what it is".
I have been looking for a response and worrying about the doodle. I agree it is very frustrating not getting any response. I just hope that the dog is OK.

Me too.
I agree!
Agree! I miss stuff too, but when everyone rushes in to support you and your very sick dog, you could at least post an update. I guess some people don't get that we are invested (I like that word Jane) in our friendships and our dogs here. And I think there should be a big DELETE button for bloggers for profit.
Just in case:
I might be a bit of an offender, I had posted in someone's post that Daisy had a 3 week issue with on and off diarrhea, I did not specifically request help from DK but I just realized some may have worried. If you were not one of the lucky ones who received a PM that she was doing fine or the ONE who I dragged into our dilemma one raining frantic phone call that I personally followed up with I am sorry and Daisy is fine.
Unless I have a specific need I typically post in the middle of the night (like now) but only to give my opinion or to enjoy what I have been missing during the day.
I miss you guys all so much. I hope you all know that.
We miss you, too!! We liked your old "job" better :) Glad Daisy is fine!
Of course we do. Miss you too Lisa! I have a crazy work schedule too. Love my work but it sure gets in the way sometimes :) Early morning and late at night are my usual DK "catch-up times" We should have a "retirement envy" group -- but no one would be there :)
We miss you too!
