OK - I admit...I am a H-U-G-E football fan - particularly a Colts' fan (I live in Greenwood, Indiana - suburb of Indy). We have had Colts' season tickets for 15 years (one year before Peyton came on the scene). I am extremely devastated today...Poor Bexter Doodle can't figure out why his mommy keeps crying. I'm at a loss for words - Can you believe that? All I have to say is...Wherever Peyton goes, I am going to visit a DK friend nearby to go watch him play. BooHoo.

I feel your pain! I'm a longtime 49'ers fan. My daughter was even a Goldrush Girl for 3 years - but it was the three WORST years for the 9'ers. We'd go to see her cheer and watch the team lose, generally in an embarrassing manner. It's so hard to see favorite players go or to see a team that once was mighty struggle. Maybe the 9'ers will pick up Peyton and you can come visit us on game days.
ugh. This is sad. I will still wear my Peyton jersey with pride. I get why they had to do it, but ugh.
I can feel your pain Traci. Hopefully the Colts can bounce back quickly if they draft Andrew Luck. Pat Kirwin made a interesting observation on Sirius radio today. He was asking some Colts fans if they were fans of the team first or Payton fans first. He made the same observation when Brett Farve left the Packers. I was amazing how many fans were only Brett fans and stopped being Packer fans. Since you've had season tickets so long I'd say you will always remain a Colts fan.
Traci, I am with you 100%. Always a Manning fan, even little brother but Peyton, well he was perfect. Unlike you I do not want him to sign anywhere else, I want him to retire and end the risk of a devastating injury.
Crying with you in OH.
Traci, too bad Peyton won't come up to Chicago. That would be a nice easy drive for you.
Hey, we don't need any more used QBs, lol. Plus, if you don't want Peyton to get hurt, don't let him come here. We have no line. Just ask Jay Cutler.
I think all of us in TN are sad for him too. But we all want him back here...either playing for the Titans or coaching football at his alma mater!
Traci, My mom is 85 and lives in Indiana. She called me today to tell me SHE has the worst luck, because they did not renew Peyton Manning's contract. She is devastated and said she could not be more upset if he were her son :)
Ha! Laurie, your mom is such a hoot!
Pat, That is one word for her :)
Laurie, I should hang out with your mom & have a Farewell Peyton cry fest. Sounds like my kind of old lady!
Traci, She would love that cry fest! LOL
