Primrose Oil Dosage

Karen, Can you remind me of the max dosage of primrose oil? The Whole Foods near me now only carries Jarrow. I bought it without checking the dosage, and it turns out it is 1300mg instead of the 500mg I have been giving Lexi. Would this still work? She's only 40 pounds. Thanks!

1300 mg is too much for her. Jack's maximum dosage is 1500 mg and he weighs 80 lbs. ( And I never give him that much, it gives him the runs, lol.)

For Lexi, I wouldn't give more than 1000 mg a day, and I'd start with 500.

Thank you! Since I already bought these (and opened them .. sigh...) I will try to puncture them and squeeze about half into a meal bowl. I'll see how it goes... We definitely don't want the runs. ;-)
