I have been trying for some time to update my profile pic as well. I need to include Shiloh. It's frustrating. I'll keep trying and let you know if I have success. I appreciate the suggestions. Thank you.

Do keep me posted.  I reported it again to Adina.

I have been getting the same error message as well.  I have had no difficulty changing my profile in the past (2.5 years on DK) Weird!

I have tried everything from dragging and dropping the picture into my profile, changing pictures, sizes, programs used, locations on my computer, waiting a few days, re-booting... you name it I've tried it LOL...

I have an email into Adina to see if they can look into the issue for me.  Will post her response here to see if it might help others that are/ might have the same issues...

Thanks everyone for  your response and help..

I posted this elsewhere, Elizabeth, but try to change your profile picture from a different computer.  We just figured out that my friend has a virus that lets her do lots of things on the computer, but will NOT let her change her profile picture.  We changed it from my computer and she is going to contact a techie person she knows.  We tried re-saving, re-sizing, saving it from her dk picture album and nothing worked.  Then she sent it to me along with her  dk password; I signed in as her and changed her profile pic.  Really, really, really odd!

Change to Google Chrome and it should work.. It did for me!!

I have Google Chrome. Didn't work. Neither did Firefox.

I am having the same problem. I tried several times to choose a picture. Seems to be loading. And then it says No file chosen. The new picture never shows up in the picture window. I had no trouble changing my other information, or loading pictures onto my page.

I have been having the same problem. I just tried it through Chrome, but that didn't work either. I have been getting the same error message as the others. So my poor Josie is still sideways and it's an old picture. It's in the JPEG format.

I will play with mine and see if it works or not.  Be right back!   NOPE!  It is not loading.  I'll report it.

So tech support said:

"Normally, errors with uploading images are browser-related. First, can your member ensure they are using a supported browser? Ning 2.0 works well with these browsers:

  • Firefox
  • Chrome
  • Safari 5.1 and Safari 6
  • Internet Explorer 8 and 9

Next, can they ensure Flash is up-to-date? (If on Chrome, no need to check this, as it has Flash built-in) http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.

If your member continues to experience this issue, please have them test uploading the photo on another browser or try our troubleshooting tips: http://www.ning.com/help/?p=3621.

Just for reference, just about any image should work as long as it is a GIF, JPG or PNG image that is under 10 MB in size. We recommend square images that are larger than 183 x 183 pixels. Anything larger will be compressed/re-sized to fit that space. For more information on updating a profile picture, please check this page: http://www.ning.com/help/?p=4464.

I tried it again, and it still failed to upload.  I use Firefox and change my profile photo all of the time.  So. . . . .

I tried again to change my profile picture with two different browsers. Doesn't work. Every time after hitting the browse and selecting a picture, nothing happens. I would really like to have Sierra in my profile picture.

Of course you want to include Sierra.  I tried it also and it won't work for me either.  I will report it to Adina again.
