So happy we found this amazing website :)  Our sweet Maizie is 16 weeks old and just started eating her food (Blue Wilderness Puppy) without chewing it!  Gulps it in a minute!  We are giving her a 1/3 cup three times a day and she is 13 pounds.  I appreciate your suggestions!!

It's perfectly normal; dogs don't normally chew their food. :)

If you want to slow down her eating, many people here have had success using the Slo-Bowl. Here's a discussion about it:

I thought I'd chime in on the slo bowl. We got it first for Yogi, but he isn't near as fast of an eater now, so we handed it down to Maci who couldn't even breathe between bites, haha. I'd say they take about 7 minutes to eat with the slo bowl.
Highly recommended except its more of a pain to wash unless you run your dishwasher daily.

I will "third" the Slo-Bowl in this discussion.  I got the Flower design one for Beasley because she literally inhaled her food (and she does not chew her food either).  The slo-bowl really helped.  I agree with Leslie, it's probably 7-10 minutes for Beasley, while it was probably 45 seconds in her normal bowl, and that really concerned me.

They have a few different designs, and I hoped the flower bowl would be the most challenging for my speed-eater puppy.  It's worked great, and her tail still wags the whole time she's eating, lol.

I forth it LOL.. Bruin is a ridiculously fast eater still at 6 months..

Winnie did that when she was teething. Now that she has her adult set of choppers, she is slowing down and enjoying her food!

We've used the Slo-Bowl with our fosters with great success.

Maizie is adorable!

We adopted Buzz through DRC in December. The wonderful and amazing Vinnie Wolfe was his foster mom. We have owned many dogs over the past 25 years and never had one who literally inhaled his food. Vinnie had the know all to get Buzz the slo bowl (slow feeder bowl). Its the only bowl he can use. A few times, he has gotten to Bays bowl and chokes on her food. I highly recommend the slo bowl!
I've been told that the gulping is the poodle part of the doodle
Not that that makes a big difference I have a 10 1/2 pound/ 20 mo. F1B she was quite an inhaler of her food even with the slowball I am sending pictures of exactly what I've been using most successfully no burping afterwords and I am not owrried about her eating too rapidly at all anymore....this bowl easy enough to travel with, is stainless and rubber ring on bottom to make skid proof
I used rehydrated raw food and plastic was more of a potential problem...stainless is really problem free
