Yes, it is snowing in the Northeast! I have about two inches already and Rio just went out and ran around like crazy in it. He was probably only about 4 months old when all the snow melted this spring, so this seems brand new to him. Unfortunately, it is the sticky wet snow that makes snowballs all over his legs and he is VERY upset about it. He has been licking them and picking at them since he came inside--poor guy. I guess he will get used to it....Here two pictures of an iris I have that is still blooming (it blooms in the spring and in the fall--weird) and it is all covered in snow now.

I saw ONE flake at 12:33 pm today. ONE. Made me think of a saying DH always says, " You know what happens when two snow flakes get together?"
That is strange about your Iris. I can only wish mine will bloom in May, let alone twice a season. Wow.
Happy Snow every Doodle.
Wow, snow...
We are going to close the cottage this weekend. Overnight forecast is minus 4 (C). I better get the old wood stove fired right up and turn on the electric blanket before turning in. Gavin will be full of vim and vigor - he loves the cold weather!
I was reading along and took one look at the first picture and was just hit was a big wave of homesickness! I'm a Michigan girl living in FL now (dh choice) and my boys have never seen snow :( I'm flying home for Thanksgiving leaving the boys with their dog sitter but I would be thrilled if there was a little snow on the ground for me!!!! Maybe next year I'll drive home and the take the boys with so that they can sample the white stuff!!!!!! Thanks for the beautiful photos!
