Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hello,
There are several older posts saying not nice things about Sheepadoodles and I would like to say that mine are the best dogs I have ever had.
The poodle DNA keeps them clever enough (for dogs) and the OES genes bring out a lovable laidback clown personality. In fact my 105 pound Bruschi takes after the OES and he is everyone's favorite...seriously, people pull over in their cars to ask about him; run out of their houses to pet him....a bit odd really.
Always non-shedding because OES are low shedding so the combo is more reliable than the other mixes -- and they are much more unique than Goldendoodles and Labradoodles which makes for lively conversation when people try to figure out what they are.
So -- if you like large doodles, then definately keep the Sheepadoodle (if you are lucky enough to find one) in your consideration mix.
Have a great day!

I think many members who have made comments about them have been concerned about the types of breeders that breed Shepadoodles. And if there are any responsible breeders breeding them.
We are dog lovers here and we like all dogs, sometimes we just don't like people. LOL kidding. :-) Your dogs are adorable and I'd love to see more pictures!
I think you will find that we love all dogs here on DK and you can do a search as to the many dogs we have helped when the need came up. I also can't believe anyone said anything mean about an actual dog and I think the comments were more concerned with the breeders and their practices. We usually try and post this link for anyone looking for a dog, no matter the type.

I happen to think Goldendoodles and Labradoodles are very unique and each one comes with their own look and personality, as I am sure Sheepadoodles do, too. I have two Labradoodles and they are as different as night and day. They keep me on my toes. Your dogs are beautiful.
Your doodles are beautiful...I will look into finding one when I'm ready for a second doodle when Mojo is past the puppy stage. Please post photos ;-)
I've always adored OAS and have met several Sheepadoodles lately. They are just beautiful and I love their coloring. I'm sure they make wonderful companions as well.
Pebbles is soooo cute!!
Your dogs are lovely and the vast majority of us lika and welcome all dogs.
So a Sheepadoodle is a Sheepdog/ Poodle Mix? I have never heard of them before. They do look lovely.
Chester (my Golden Doodle) loves to play with a sheepdog at the park.
Welcome.
Pretty dogs!!Glad you are so happy with them--I have never heard a bad word about sheepadoodles or OES's and I am sure yours are as great as you say!
Because of the current popularity, there seems to be an overabundance of poodle mix dogs that have been bred without thought to health or temperament. Doodlekisses members have become educated about hobby breeders, back yard breeders, puppy mills, reputable breeders, rescues etc. and we tend to make remarks referring to breeding situations. Many, many of the less well-known poodle mixes, as well as the more well-known ones, were bred by irresponsible people. That is NOT to say that your dogs were bred irresponsibly or that the mix wasn't a good choice. I don't think anyone would deliberately mean to insult your dog choice or your dogs' background. Let me apologize if it seems that way. Your dogs are darling - not for me ( because I am going smaller nowadays) - but really darling.
