Are shitpoos considered a DOODLE?  I think so, but not sure.  Let me know.

I agree 100%, Lorraine.

I've seen Goldendoodles refered to as Groodles, "Golden Retriever Poodle", in a few places.

Oops! Spelled "referred" wrong!

Sorry Adina, but I have to agree with Karen.  I love my doodle to pieces, and although the "breed" is great for a lot of reasons, they are really still a mutt or as some people like to refer to them desiginer dogs.  In other words, not pure bred.  Which is fine by me, I'm not stuck on purebreds or how they name 'em.  I just love my Paxton and wanted to include him in on the Doodle website.

I'm not sure why you are apologizing...I never disagreed with Karen, did I?  My only point is that once they were called whateverdoodle names, then using "doodle" as a shortened term makes sense.  But shih-poos have no 'doodle' in their name.

None of that matters though because you are welcome to talk about the rest of your pets here. You don't have to keep hush hush about other dogs, cats, or mixes you have in your family =)

Sorry, again, I though you meant that doodle had to be in the name.  My apology!  Duh!  That is funny about keeping hush hush about the "others".  My daughter says my "tone" changes when people ask me what breed Kahlua is.  She said she can almost see my nose raise a fraction into the air and my voice take on that "tone" of superiorority (sp?).  I told her she's imagining it!  HAHAHAHA!  Paxton has become MY dog and Kahlua has leaned over to the DH side.  Then again, you never know with Kahlua, it's as my husband loving says, "it's all about Kahlua"!

Some people also talk about moms, daughters, husbands and none of those are doodles either, although they can be s**tstoo sometimes :)  LOL

you mean my frenchies" antics are equally welcome - opens up all sorts of other posting possibilities!!!!

Cindy, I even post about my DD's Frenchies.

I think every DK member's other pets are included in our "family" here, no matter what breed or mix they are.

I know I'm late into this discussion.  I think in this forum we use the term "Doodle" very liberally.  We have members that have "honorary Doodles" some of which are cats.  We are animal friendly.  Remember a Golden Retriever is half a GoldenDoodle.

Wouldn't it be funny if Cockapoos were called Cockadoodles?
