*UPDATE* Should we go to the vet?

Cooper had a poorly tummy some time in the night (diarrhea all over the carpet) and woke us at 6.30 instead of her usual 8am to go outside, and pooped some more. She pooped 3 times yesterday, but only once for 2 or 3 days before that (she usually goes twice).

She has been acting fine, apart from last night she couldnt settled and seemed abit confused - she kept wandering around and looking at me. She didnt ask to go out but I took her anyway and she pooped (not sure what it was like it was dark but it was noisy so im assuming some of it was runny)

She has had bouts of diarrhea over the past few months, since she got over vacinated. Im hoping its nothing to do with that. im thinking maybe she has a parasite... she is often crying for food which is not like her, and we have been feeding her 1 1/2 cups a meal intead of her usual 1 cup - i assumed it was due to playing lots with the inlaws dog

Now, im sure the vet will want a poop sample, but i only have the one in the yard from last night...

Im thinking I should call the vet

UPDATE

DH called the vet - we cant get an appointment today and tomorrow is Good Friday - and they arent open at weekends, so we have an appointment for Monday. We were told to give her chicken and rice and pumpkin (which I knew) til then

Questions - which medication is best... pancur? just ifd they have a choice lol

Also, do they do another stool sample after the bout of antibiotics - so I know when to send in my insurance claim

How much chicken do I give a 60lb dog?

UPDATE

Cooper had another accident in the night :( I dont know why she didnt wake me, I guess she needed to go right there and then!

I have looked up giradia and the symptoms seem right. My MIL however, is in a bad mood and is telling DH that it isnt giradia (based on the fact that its usually puppies that get it) and that we are being stupid and that shes fine, its just one of those things.

But she has had a poorly tummy pretty much every week for 2 months. Sometimes its just 1 poorly poop, other times it lasts for a few days. it also coincides with when she had her lepto shot and they gave her the DA2PP shot as well even though she had it just 4 month prior. Im paranoid its IBD from over vacinating, and DH is getting mad at me saying that the vet wouldnt have given it to her if it was a concern.

All I know is that my baby shouldnt be having poopy issues for 2 months!

I'm sorry your family is giving you a difficult time!  I know you're worried!  It is so hard sometimes.  I understand.  Sometimes my family thinks I go overboard with the dogs too!  All I know is to do what YOU think is right for your baby!  Keep us posted.

we are on day 4 of poorly tummy issues - not a single semi normal poop. She needed coaxing today to eat her breakfast (she gets bored of chicken and rice pretty fast). She was very sleepy yesterday evening and so far today - but thats probably because she isnt getting a huge amount of food - maybe 2 cups of rice and 1 cup of chicken a day with some pumpkin and chicken stock (from the boiled chicken).

DH isnt happy with what its probably going to cost us at the vet (they are expensive here) as we basically live pay check to pay check, but we have some money saved for times like this, and we will get 80% minus $100 deductible back from insurance. Im so glad we got insurance!!!!
