Tara has great lashes too but I usually end up trimming them when she gets a cut because they can become TOO long.

I have to cut Kona's lashes because the grow straight and completely cover his eyes.

Wow, I've never seen lashes so long on a doodle (same goes for Ricki's Tara)! I keep both my doods' lashes trimmed short.

The first problem I encountered with her long lashes was when I put Doggles on her and she couldn't open her eyes because the Doggles pinned her lashes down. Oops. :)

LOL Tamara, you've come to the right place!  Doggles are basically goggles for dogs to protect their eyes, just as human goggles do for us.

well now do you use them for swimming ??!! they let you put them on them and wear them ??!!

I don't think they would work for swimming because you can't really get a tight seal with all that hair. Tara wore them when she wanted to put her head out of the window of the car. I only let her do so at very slow speeds but was still concerned about a bug or rock flying into her eye.  As with many things, it took some time and desensitizing until she would wear them without pulling them off but she learned pretty quickly.  They could also be used for doodles who ride on motorcycles or other open air vehicles and as you can see in Linda's photo they would be great at the beach when the sand is blowing or the sun is especially bright (they come tinted). I'm sure there are other applications too.

I believe that is  how I met you, Ricki. Your first post was that your little doodle hid under the car seat because the sun was so bright.   She squints, you said. 

I agreed, I had a dog who really wont open his eyes in the sun. 

I've never known why you put glasses on Tara. Now I know.  Great idea for the car and the sun
