I taught my Crush how to shut our bedroom door which is pretty stinkin' cute! Right after she got the hang of it I was in the kitchen cooking and heard the bedroom door slam. Moments later it was followed by her whining to let her out. A few nights ago our cat was sitting on the dresser by the bedroom door, up away from Crush. Crush was pestering her and as soon as she saw the cat looking at the door, she ran up and slammed it before the cat could leave. We got a kick out of that (and then let the cat out.) Now I'm trying to think up other neat tricks I can have her doing around here...A lot of her siblings are trained as service dogs so she is quite easily trained.

Tricks are great but this makes me nervous. Luca had his tail broken, presumably it wads caught in the door at the groomer,s. The cat might get hurt or something like that. Someone here taught their fog to open the fridge. That would be a nightmare here.
lol! That hilarious! Poor cat!!!
My Zoe opens doors if it's not shut tightly but slamming doors shut is quite funny! Pls post a video if u can :)

I tried and it didn't work! I'll try again tomorrow when I'm not so tired :)

Cute. :)

Oh and by "pestering" I mean trying to play with her by wiggling around and sometimes barking. She's a gentle pup :)

Sounds cute ... what we could use around here is "pick up your toys" .  AnnaBelle is big on playing with toys, lots of toys, and they are always every where.  Never had that with Lucy and Sophie so it is new to me.

if you google "training your dog to pick up toys" there are a number of articles. Great idea!  we always have toys all over here, too.

I think I am going to give it a whirl.

We will definitely be working on this one tomorrow.

Can you come to my house and teach my husband how to turn off a light when he leaves a room? LOL

I know there is something called Nose Work for Dogs that might be fun to do with Crush. Here is just one article I found about it.

How about teaching our doodles to lower the seat after the men folk?  If we patent the method, we could probably fund the DRC for years!

Laurie, the Nose Work is one of Trav's very favorite things to do!  He recently passed his ORT (Odor Recognition Test) in just a few seconds.  I was very proud!  Passing this test allows us to compete, should we want to.  So far, I don't--but for you?  Heaven calls!  LOL   Seriously, all the dogs I've seen just love doing this.  Trav sees it as his job, and he searches with real dedication and focus.  So, so cute!
