Six months! How big will Rocky get?

Rocky will be 6 months in a couple of days!!!! He is now 42 pounds and an important part of our beautiful family. He grown soooo much since we got him.

How big do you think he'll get. Can his coat still change color?

only time will tell the answers to both questions. I have an apricot doodle and he is almost 6 and his coat color never changed so I hope Rocky will stay that rich beautiful apricot color.  Although I know it wont matter. As for the weight, what was his weight at 4 months of age? Multiply that by 2 and plus or minus 10 pds and you will be in the ball park. Thats the best guess any of us can make really.

Agreed.  The four month rule is very reliable - at least has been for my dogs.  Their coats tend to get lighter as they age, which I think you have already noticed.  He is a beautiful pup.

I can only say that with our doodle (Standard F1) that @ 5 months he was 46lbs and now @ 9 months he is almost the same weight.  He looks much heavier but it's all the fluff :)

awww--he is very cute--yes, he will probably get lighter-this is still puppy coat but you can get a hint if you part his hair and look close to the skin--he might be getting wavier and lighter there.

I would say that his growth will slow a bit now, but he will be in the 50s someplace.
