Skadi turning 4 tomorrow!

In a “rare” photo op, Skadi, “Miss Calendar cover girl 2014” was available for a short interview as she gets ready to celebrate her 4th Birthday tomorrow…                                                                         Paparazzi: “and so Miss Skadi, how has the year been so far for you?                                               Skadi: “I am so glad you asked..I have been exhausted stamping calendar covers with my Paw! (she smiles coyly) so many many people that love me! So amazing! I am giddy with fame!                       Paparazzi:  Miss Skadi, will you be auditioning for the calendar in 2015?                                           Skadi: Oh gosh…I think I better leave that up to the younger pups..you know, 4 years is hard on a dog…I had to have some surgery..and you know that slows you down.(Skadi Yawns)..well, I better get my nap in..you know how hard it is to stay beautiful when you get this age!                                

Paparazzi:  Wait, wait, Miss Skadi…one last question…how will you spend your special day tomorrow?                                        

Skadi:  Oh, you know, I actually love routine…so I’ll start by getting in bed with mom and dad to have my belly rubbed.  Listen to them as they plan our day while they sip coffee.  Mom says she has “special” meals for me…leftover chicken I’m hoping.  And dad says if I’m real good I get steak for supper.  We might go for a boat ride if the weather’s nice.  But I want to get home at a decent time so I can see if the neighbor’s cats are available to chase.  The chipmunks in the backyard are always entertaining too in the late afternoon.  A walk in the woods would be nice, chase the ball a little, and my very favorite, lay in the driveway and do…well, you know…do NOTHING.

Happy birthday and thank you for taking a minute out of your busy celebrity schedule to let us know how you are going to celebrate your special day. Bella is also 4 years old tomorrow and she is hoping for some Pupcakes for her day as the way to this girl is through her stomach!!!

yes, those pup cakes!!! We will be having a cream cheese filled kong, a home cooked meal, a car ride to Petco to pick out a new toy and a swim today for her birthday. Dont think I'll be baking pupcakes, wish there was a dog bakery close by. What are you doing to celebrate Skadi?

Yes they are sisters and look so much alike. Bella has been in the calendar too, however I am not as good a photographer as you, so I don't send in pictures any more. It was easier to get a submission when all you needed was a face shot and no fancy camera's, lenses, cropping, beautiful scenery. Too much to think about, but I do love the pictures all the DK members take the time to send and that get on the calendars. Like you, I will leave the photo ops to the younger girls.
We just have to compare notes on our girls and see if they are similar. Bella is my sweetie and still such a puppy, hard to think of her as 4 already.

Oh how wonderful to know Skadi's sister is loved as much as she is loved!  She is very very sweet too...she has her "moments" but the bestest and most beautiful "lovey" I have ever been honored to have come into my life.  She will be very spoiled again today!  Kisses to sister Bella!
