I felt like I tried my best in this discussion Chels, but unfortunately continuing to snipe like this makes me not want to answer any future posts that you make :(

im sorry that everyone thinks im a mean bad person now.. i was hurt by what was said. i have never been mean to anyone on here and didnt understand why someone would want to say such offensive things to me. u have to understand where im coming from as a sort of new DK member and i post my first picture to a discussion and im literally ridiculed because of it. i not trying to go back and forth with anyone here.. if someone responds to me i respond back. i dont think its nice that people are saying they dont want to answer any other posts that i post.. i never cursed anyone or made fun of anyone on here.. i totally agree that DK is supposed to be for fun friendship and all that good stuff.. and thats what makes me so sad when i post a picture of my dog and people say that the groomer is probably laughing?? i dont even want to get into all that again..but i hate that everyone is all mad at me now when i never did anything but post a picture that i wasnt asking an opinion on. it seems like u all are friends and have ur cliques and its hard when someone new is on here defending themselves and their dog, who was made fun of. I think thats the last thing that should be on DK. i have posted many questions and gotten great advice.. about food training and all that stuff..and many times i had people disagree with things i take their advice and never get offended.. but to  be on here a DOOODLE forum and have a doodle lover laugh at my dog that is really offensive? doesnt anyone get that? i am not trying to battle anyone here.. my feelings were hurt and no one seems to care about that..just the fact that im replying to others comments is making everyone hate me?? honestly put urself in my shoes. ur dog gets a haircut that ur proud of.. people on here asked for a pic.. i tried so hard all day trying to get the picture up.. i post it and im all excited that i got it on here and people say they feel bad for my dog because hes humiliated? how would u feel? again i dont want to get into the whole thing again..but im just trying to explain myself to anyone who thinks im some evil person. anyways to anyone who does think that about me i wish u would change ur opinion of me..put urself in my shoes.. maybe u wouldnt have defended urself..but i was truly hurt. i want to make friends on here and have fun like its supposed to be.. i guess i was just shocked because i didnt think anyone would try to be hurtful on here.. anyways i hope we can move passed this and im not punished and not answered anymore because of this. :/

My groomer used to trim Ned's eyelashes every time she groomed him.  I wished she didn't but it didn't seem to be enough of a  'thing' to me  to complain about.  Lately she has been letting them grow and they are so pretty and RED.  I am glad something changed her grooming style.   She has always let Clancy's eyelashes stay long.

No one can accuse Ned of not being a "natural" red head. He is so beautiful.

Daisy is being groomed today, it makes me nervous. I asked a couple of specific things like try to keep her head from being to big of a poof, trim her beard "a little" and take two inches off her tail. I hope it all works out but if not it will all grow back.

Daisy by the way still does not like going in, I think it's the blow dryer, at home she runs from the bedroom when I use the hair dryer in the bathroom. :-(     I hate it when she's sad!
Can you maybe ask them to let her air dry if they allow that? It's taken my two a long time to get comfortable with my blow drying them. Lots of slow easy sessions, treats and breaks over many months.

I never thought to ask, however I will.

When we walked in she was fine, the minute someone flipped on a dryer she was pulling me to the door. The dryer went off and she walked right behind the gate, back on and she desperately tried to come back to me. So even if she wasn't blown dry I think she would still dislike going.

There is a chance that the place I work for is going to close (after 21 years here) if so, I will be grooming her myself. I might get a PT job somewhere but my 40-50 hour weeks will be over. DH said, well you can't work if you can't take Daisy - I said "fine with me" LOL

Then you all will have to put up with me in the Grooming Group - stupid questions are on their way!

grooming yourself isn't that bad once you get past that initial learning curve.  Plus doing it at home has the added advantage of not putting your dog in the stressful environment of the grooming place which is just too much for some dogs.  You can take as many breaks as you need at home because you are in a set appointment time.  You should give it a try.  It is actually kind of fun.

Wow, sorry to hear about your work place. I'm not sure what to hope for you. I would try to get Daisy used to the sound of the blow dryer gradually whatever you end up doing. I was. Grooming two doodles until recently but Calla was so much work. I took her to the groomer this summer. Then I took both of them in December. I think Luca's hot spot may have been the result of that but I will still take them. I just will be more diligent in heading things off at the pass if I see either of them persistently licking.

F. no worries. I have been getting clear signs for about a year, good thing so I could learn to not over indulge on certain things like going out and not spending it all - ha ha.

We (me, DH, DD and SIL) hope that this is timely enough to be available for a new grand baby, God willing as they have been trying for a few months now.

Whatever the case, though sad after so long, I am okay with it thus far.

I really don't know if I will even be able to do it myself, she is so big, too big for the tub really. I might take her to the local pet store that has tubs and such for rent, wash her there and then bring her home to do the rest.

Both things will be a new adventure for both Daisy and I.

Yes, the washing part is tough unless you have a great set up.

Like this?  : )

Hey, it looks like it works: )
