hey everyone!! midas went to the groomer today for his first grooming..my husband i have been grooming him...i gave the groomer pics and detailed info on what i want...if the so much as TOUCH HIS EYELASHES SO HELP ME GOD! LOL ...pictures to come later wish me..and him luck! xoxo

i really take offense to ur comment. sue. Midas is well loved by everyone and to my knowledge has never been made fun of... also he is a dog who doesnt speak nor could he understand if he was made fun of..so that right there is pretty stupid.. and if u have nothing better to do then  make fun of my dog..i could care less..and ..i feel really bad for u.. midas is beautiful with long hair or with short..do u feel the same way about someone who has different hair then u?? do u make fun of them?? r u mean to them???  what is wrong with the fact that he has short hair now? what is wrong with you?? if u judge someone that quickly over a haircut ur nuts.. the fact that u are commenting and talking about the way midas looks, YOU are making fun of him.. feel bad now??? please keep ur comments to urself..this is a HAIRCUT lady..get over it!!

to anyone else who thinks my comment is nasty.. ill apologize...i have kept my cool for quite some time now with people making rude comments and remarks.. i have to say a lot of people on here get very nasty with the new doodle owners and push them away... u dont OWN the breed doodle.. so calm down people!!

Chels, You are on a public forum with lots of people with varying opinions. When you post anything in a discussion you open yourself up to comments from people who agree with you and people who do not agree with you. If you ask a question, you don't always get the answer you want in real life and especially on an Internet site. You have a right to post pictures of your dog with a new haircut and people can then respond. No one was making fun of Midas. They simply replied they did not like a dog being cut like a lion. Midas is your dog and you have the right to groom him as you see fit, but since it is unusual, of course you are going to get comments. I posted pictures of Vern dressed up like Nicky Minaj and not everyone liked his new look :) Take if from someone old, when you get mad at someone for a comment it is best to just stick to the comment that irritated you and not speculate on their character, etc., and go off topic. You lose ground when you do that and the point gets lost in translation. Trust me...I do this a lot when I am mad at my husband...LOL. In my opinion, this site is full of passionate, wonderful people, and Sue is one of them, but not everyone agrees on every topic every time. Life would sure be dull if we all thought the same.

lol the thing is i didnt post a question.. i posted that i didnt want his eyelashes cut to wish me luck..then people asked for pics so i posted.. and Sue was definitly attacking me and way off topic.. just comment wow i dont like that haircut.. and thats all.. but to get so in depth and crazy over a haircut is nuts and uncalled for u know? she went on to say that its unfair and people will laugh and be mean to hi over a HAIRCUT.. making me seem like im a bad person for giving him a unique haircut.. ud think people on here would be nice to people seeing we all have something in common.,.we love doodles!! anyways i know u understand.. also im sure vern looked so cute..going to look for pics now.. :)

Wow, I leave for a little bit and holly crap, things go wild.  All that I can think of right now and actually since the first time I saw this posted was Gee, I wish Sophie had some eyelashes that I could worry about getting cut off!  I would give anything to go back to the days when I worried about cutting her eyelashes off when I groomed her!  :o(

Aw, you brought this back to reality. Let us hope, with time, you will have to worry about Sophie's eyelashes again. The funny thing is, the groomer trimmed Luca's eyelashes much shorter than I ever would but I did not get my knickers in a twist. It is only hair. I used to tell my kids that I really did not want them to do anything permanent to change their bodies, like tattoos or piercings, until they were adults. Not that I would have liked it then. But they could do whatever they wanted with hair.

I don't even know if my groomer does trim eyelashes. I have never noticed. As long as they are clean when I pick them up, I am happy.

Thats funny you should say something about eye lashes. I always tell my groomer I will groom their faces. I love the long lashes...They always cut them if you don't say something..
