I've stayed really far away from this whole discussion but I just keep thinking about why in this fragile life where so many people who suffer every day and how we have dear DK friends whose dogs are gravely ill and their focus is on caring for them and trying to 'keep it all together" would we allow ourselves to spend one ounce of energy on this.  I'm so not judging anyone.  I just don't care if anyone decides to give their Doodle a "mohawk" or a "lion look" as long as they give their dog a balanced, healthy and loving home.  I want to be part of the DK that rallies behind the dogs in need, and helps to educate the "newbies", and often even supports the veterans who are going through some really trying times, and always finds ways to inject humor into our worlds (thank you Laurie), and works for ways to promote the "greater good" for the Doodle "breed".  That's who we are....we're way better than this discussion.

Amen F and Jane.  I just dropped in on this discussion and I couldn't agree more with what both of you have said. And I couldn't have said it any better.  Why was I away from DK?  Because Finn and I were out searching in Lambertville, NJ today for the woman who disappeared over the weekend. Life is fragile, unexpected, short, and sometimes tragic.  Thanks Sheila for the laugh.  BTW Chels - I think his eyelashes will grow back.  I have to keep trimming Finn's.

Life surely is fragile. I take it there is no news. It was so good of you to search. These missing people seem much worse to me than straight out bad news. Let us hope this has a happy ending.

No news.  Nothing.  She disappeared a block from my office.  It's a route I've walked many times...in the daylight and at night.  I don't know her personally, but I just felt we had to help.  We searched parts of the Canal and some back paths that we walk off the beaten trail. I don't think the outcome is going to be good but answers what everyone wants now.  Thanks F.
