Truly, I'm already worried but have no symptoms to present to the vet. Yesterday and today Callie has just not been herself. We had Doodlefest yesterday and Callie hardly played at all. She stuck to my side like glue and that is NOT her normal dog park behavior (especially when there are other doodles!). On the way home she did not stick her head out of the window. She did not play with Samantha the great dane when we saw her on a walk. She ate her dinner, is drinking normally, is urinating and pooping on her normal schedule,  butisn't playing with any of her toys. This morning she wanted to stay in bed and snuggle (fine by me - we woke up to a storm), and when we went on our walk she just seemed kind of "blah".

Writing all this out makes it all seem kinda petty and small, but I know that dog and she's not acting like herself.

So I ask - do I need to worry? Do I need to give her another couple of days and see how she is? Could she be having delayed depression from Harvey Foster Doodle leaving? Am I just shopping for a problem?

**UPDATE**

Callie had a highly energetic play date with her BF, Louie, last night. I still feel like she's not herself, but she's pretty much acting like herself now!!!

Feel better Callie, let us know how it goes.
I agree with the "watch and wait" advice, and I am one who runs to the vet for everything.
Jackdoodle goes through mopey periods occasionally, for no reason I can see. Most often, it's when I've been busier than usual and he's gotten less attention. Sometimes it coincides with dreary, rainy weather.
I hope Callie is just "blue" temporarily and will be soon be back to her usual doodle-y self!
Moms know and when they are worried, maybe something is wrong. Take Callie to the vet. If only for your peace of mind.

If you are worried that you might feel silly..... I once took a dog to the vet because he was losing so much fur. Turns out he was part husky and ''blowing" his coat. Who knew? I took Roo to the vet when he was a puppy because I thought his eyes were too red. Vet didn't even charge me! So you can't be too dumb because I have already taken care of that one.

Let us know how Callie does.
Callie Girl!! What's got ya in a funk that made you lose your spunk?? You probably do miss havin' one of those foster boys around. While brothers can be a pain, it is kinda fun havin' another doodle in the house. But knowing you mom she probably has one all lined up to come real soon.

I scared my momma on Saturday night, I was being a real doodle freakazoid!! The whole family was watchin' a movie, and I hate being alone, especially in the basement. But the whole IronMan2 movie I was running down the basement layin' on the couch in the dark all by myself. DM&DD kept checkin' on me, tryin' to give me treats but I wouldn't have any of it. I am keeping it my own doodle secret as to why I did that, maybe just needed some "me" time... But the next day I was back to my usual doodle self that I am sure you will be real soon. Just keep snugglin' with your momma, when you run and hide from them that makes them go super crazy!!

- paws up- your galpal - Rosey:)
I'm just thinking about it being hard for a dog to have a live in pal and lose that pal. Maybe it's time for a permanent sib?
Callie, hope you are back to your old self really soon. We hope that you are just having a lazy day and we'll check back tomorrow to see how you are.
I too am thinking that Callie is missing her foster brother. I know that when my daughter comes to visit with Luna her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Gracie Doodle is on Cloud 9. They have the best time and are best friends. When they leave to drive back up to San Jose, Gracie goes into a funk for a day or two. My daughter says that Luna does the exact same thing when we go visit at their house and we leave with Gracie. Also, a previous dog we had would every now and then have an "off" day and the vet told us it is totally normal. Just like us...we have off days from time to time. But...it should only last a day or two at the most...otherwise take her to the vet. Give Callie a kiss on the nose for us!
Yeah, I was thinking about her foster brother, too.... She may be missing him....
How's your doodette doing today??????????
Glad to hear that Callie is getting back to normal.
Oh, after what you just wrote, I think she is definitely missing her Foster Brother!!!!!
Good to hear she is perking up a bit.
