Speaking of strange behaviour

Daisy has started licking her bed. She has one of those bolster beds the bolsters are microfiber. Every morning when she wakes up or every night before bed she licks and licks it until it's all wet. This just started about a week ago, she has had the bedroom bed for over a year.

I wonder, does it feel good on her tongue or what? Does any other doodles do this?

I don't know what it is, but Lola licks absolutely EVERYTHING!!! It's her signature thing, she's well-known for it!!! She's mastered the "walk-by lick" - if she's walking by, and you have a blanket on you on the couch, or a book in your hands, or the remote, or if your hand/foot is within sight, it'll all get licked without her even slowing down. She licks pillows, her bed, OUR bed...I don't know why!

Weird question but could it be an  hormonal behavior? Even though these dogs are probably spayed, they still might have some instinct to lick things--my female is a big licker of all sorts of things and when she has her litters, she is in her glory--at last a reason to lick! She has the cleanest puppies in town. For two weeks, you would never know that they have had any bowel movements--she even licks the sheets under the pups. Sorry if I am disgusting you all--but there is an instinctual reason for licking that we have taken away when we prevent them from reproducing--not that i think we should let dogs reproduce! My dog is part of my breeder's program and will be spayed the minute her contract is fulfilled. Then she will have to just go back to licking her bed.

That would be a good guess but Daisy rarely eats treats and never ever in the bedroom.
