Is there anyone out there who has tried "The perfect Dog" training system by Don Sullivan? I was watching an infomercial on it and it looked promising... if it works - great. If not... then it's a lot of $$$ to throw away.
Thanks for your input...
I do not recommend it. It is a video and the basis of "his" system is a collar similar to a pinch collar, but soft. Other than the collar there is nothing new or unique in his system at all. It is not nearly as good as the one Adina recommends and the company who sells it is extremely difficult to deal with. If you want a good video training system, go to Amazon.com and for $10 to $15 you can get both video tapes that Adina has used. I loved them too and have passed them on to my son. The name of the system Adina recommended is Command Performance by David Dykeman. In Reviews on the website there is a more positive experience with the Don Sullivan Command Performance system
I almost ordered this a few months ago but decided not to. We have a trainer and I decided to trust her methods using the reward method. I read all of the comments on "Sullivans" website and thought-this seems to good to be true-and wanted to order it right away. Something stopped me though-and then I googled the question "has anyone tried the Don Sullivans training system". Dozens of responses came up from people who were not connected to his website-just everyday dog owners who had ordered this and tried it. Some loved it-some, not so much and some hated it. I passed on ordering this-I felt I did not need harsh methods for our guy who was only 4 months old at the time.
