Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I took Lan to the park today and she did great.  She was very happy and met lots of dogs, including another Labradoodle who looked nothing like her!  I'm guesssing it wasn't an ALD as it looked completely different, bone structure wasn't even the same, and wasn't at all friendly.  I don't see many labradoodles and it made me realize just how vastly they can differ in appearance and temperment wise.  Also, it was kind of funny because for some odd reason a lot of people ask me if Lan is a standard poodle... I don't even think she looks like a poodle.  Do other labradoodle owners get this question a lot?

Definitely Fudge, I'd recognize that gorgeous doodle face anywhere : )

Thanks, Nicky!

Fudge, yes!  But both Fudge and Fifi are adorable.

Thanks, Pat!

I love them both but if I could had to select one - FUDGE!!!

Thanks, Jane!!

They both look very labradoodle to me.

Thanks, Lynda.....it is more the way she carries herself when she is trimmed short. She dances about and is so graceful.

This is a purebred Standard Poodle with a natural coat.

And so is this:

Both of your pictures are of two beautiful dogs!! These puppies are just adorable. I have never had a Standard Poodle before, but I have had Labs and I just see so much more Poodle in Fudge in her looks and traits.  She is so graceful and prancy (if that is a word). Lab or Poodle, I just think she is Fudge :)

It surprises me how many doodle owners have never had much experience with purebred poodles. When I was growing up, they were the most common pet dog among our friends and family. For me, it was the opposite. People in our neighborhoods (close-in suburbs) didn't have sporting dogs, except for Cocker Spaniels.  I never met a pet Golden Retriever until I was in my 20s, and I was a grandmother before I actually visited the home of a Lab owner.
