Quincy is 19 weeks old- she seems fine in every way except the past day or so she is more quiet than normal. She will have bursts of energy but then just plop down and lounge. This is a change from her regular behavior, which was pretty much full throttle. Is she just getting older or should I be concerned? Did any of you notice your doodles getting more laid back?

She sees the vet next week for her second Lyme vaccine. She lost two back baby teeth two nights ago, and while they had me a bit freaked cause they bled she was not whimpering or in any pain, just spit out the teeth on the kitchen floor as if to say "here you go". She eats and poops normal. We are working with a trainer each week and is doing amazing with obedience and in every way she seems perfect, I just noticed this shift in energy and was curious if anyone can add anything. thanks!

Yes, I agree.  As I recall, my guys were not really themselves when they were in the midst of teething.

I wouldn't worry if she is eating, etc...Peri still goes through bouts like this and she is 3 years old.  If you are still concerned next week, talk to the vet.

I'll bet she's fine, especially if she is eating & pooping normally.  Just keep an eye on it.  Maybe she's having a growth spurt???

We have had some hot weather here and both my dogs are far less active when it is hotter out.

Sounds normal! Just mention your concerns at your next appointment. Sounds like she's doing good otherwise.

Ollie does this too. He is really hyper for a while and then seems to sleep all the time for a while. It always scares me when he is calm, but he has always been fine.

Sounds like the important things are fine, eating, pooping, bursts of energy. My two have always had occasional quiet days.
Thanks for the advice. We did a training session last night and even the trainer said she was not herself but as you all mentioned he thinks it's the teething, and not anything to worry about. For the first time since we brought her home over 2 months ago she.kept to herself in the kitchen the entire night until bedtime upstairs. It had me very concerned but this morning she woke me up waving around this plush frog toy that makes a ribbett noise that seems to startle her but she keeps going back for more, it's quite hilarious. She's back for now, thanks for all the helpful advice.
