So I dropped Duncan at the vet this morning where he will have an ultrasound to see his heart and assess his murmur. He was trembling. My last sight of him was the rear view with tail between his legs as the dr carried him to the back. Sigh!!! This is probably more of a blog and less of a discussion but I am not sure how to do that from my phone:)
Duncan never trembles. Only at the vet. My poor dood. Can't wait to squish his doodliciousness when I pick him up.

UPDATE!!!!!!
Duncan literally pulled my vet off his feet when he saw me. The leash could not keep him away another second. He's home and sleeping and already over the whole ordeal.

So the ultrasound showed nothing too worrisome. there IS some mitral regurgitation that he grades at 2 because he can "hear it from both sides". We'll continue to do an ultrasound every 12 months and he'll listen at every appointment in between for any signs that it is getting louder. So for now nothing more needs to be done. I'm hoping it stays this way forever. Thank you all so much for worrying with me and reassuring me too.

Duncan is happy and now so is his momma.

Awww, hope everything turns out ok. I hate that feeling when you have to drop of your little furry loved one at the vet. I hated leaving Buddy there when he got neutered. Hang in there!
Poor Duncan. Be sure to give him some extra hugs and kisses when you pick him up.
I know just how you must be feeling right now. I'm really hoping that you get some great news about the murmur when you pick him up, and he can STAY AWAY from the Vet....poor guy.
I should add, please let us know what you learn when you pick him up. I'll be thinking of you all day.
Thinking of you! Poor Duncan doodle - he will be happy when you are able to squeeze the doodle out of him today!
Hi Sally...
We'll be keeping you and Duncan in our thoughs and prayers today.
We're looking forward to hearing a good report when you post later...
In the meantime...know that we are sending Doodle Hugs to you both...
Susan and Sasha...
Good luck, Duncan. Give him some extra hugs today! I love his picture in your profile. Hope all goes well.
Let us know what the vet says. And give Duncan lots of cuddles when he gets out of there!
Awww! Poor guy and poor Doodle Mom!!! Happy Doodle wishes coming your way!
It just means that he is smart and knows that things happen to him at the vet that he would prefer not to happen to him. He will be very happy to see you when you come back for him. Bring a little treat.
The good news is that the ultrasound is entirely painless. Maybe you should take him to the vet once in a while just for nothing but a visit with the staff, to explore the waiting room etc. My two don't mind going to the vet at all but Calla gets anxious if something is being done to her.
I hope all goes well with Duncan's vet visit today!! I know the heart break of watching them watch YOU walk away from them in their scariest moment. Oh, if only we could EXPLAIN it to them!!! Why doesn't someone invent a human-doodle translator?? It would make moments like these so much easier!!
