Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I just wanted to say that the whole story was confirmed yesterday. We met a woman who witnessed the attack and, actually, she was the one who helped to take the pits away. She said us yesterday that she had even seen the boy to give the command "get him, get him" to pits.
Camus is doing fine. Still going to dog parks but we check first and stay only if there are friends Camus enjoy playing with.
Thank you all for your support one more time.
And yes, I reported the case.

I'm so glad that Camus is okay and that you reported this incident. I agree with you and the others that this is an owner issue not a dog or breed issue.
We stopped by our local dog park this a.m. just to look (didn't go in) and while we were standing outside of the entry gate 2 LOOSE pits run up to us (the dog park is inside of a large city park that is entirely ON LEASH ONLY). We couldn't see a human anywhere and DH scooped up Tara before they reached her. Well a minute or so later up STROLLS the owner like she was clueless but I think it was actually more of an " I can do whatever I want" attitude. ALL of the other dogs that came to the park while we were there, include one gorgeous labradoodle, came on a leash. WTD???
What's wrong with people??
Poor Camus-hope you are feeling better
I am so sorry this happened to you and Camus but thank god he is okay. I have to say.....if this happened to me, no one would have to give me the "get him" command because I would be on these disgusting dog owners beating the you know what out of them!!!
