Update on Cooper

The procedure to find out about Cooper's liver is tomorrow in Cincinnati.   We appreciate all positive thoughts and prayers.   I am very nervous about turning my boy over to them and leaving for the day.   They want us there at 9 and said to come back around 6.  Believe me, we will be calling them before that!

Thursday's update:
 They finished the splenoportogram around noon and unfortunately it wasn't conclusive.
They couldn't rule out a shunt, nor definitely diagnose one.
They gave us two options today. One was to go ahead and open him up and look for a shunt
but he would have a rougher recovery than the second option of doing a liver biopsy first.
We opted to let them put him back under light sedation and do an ultrasound guided liver biopsy.
We are still waiting to hear how he is and should be able to take him home tonight.
Then we will get the results next week and go from there.
