Urgent - Dog In Need of Assistance

I hate to ask this of anyone but I didn’t know where else to post this.  I received this link concerning a doodle in Illinois that needs immediate assistance as he is currently in a high kill shleter.  In fact it may be too late for this dog but the post is still active on PetFinder so I’m praying and crossing my fingers AND posting here in case someone can help.  Unfortunately, I’m not close enough to Illinois to go pick him up but I’m hoping someone is.

I see your concern, but many of us are retired couples and take on puppies, so his being 2 yrs old already is an added advantage for them, I'd think. That's my hope anyway.
