I know this is a long shot, but my husband and I are in a predicament.  Our puppy has giardia and we just got word that my husband's mother passed away this morning (committed suicide).  Both my husband and I are flying out to Seattle Washington from Charlottesville, VA (where we live) to be with family and the funeral.  Because Abby has giardia and is only 8 weeks i'm having trouble figuring out what to do with her.  Any suggestions?  I'm so desperate I even called the breeder to see if she would take her back.  I know that sounds horrible to give a puppy back, but after everything and now having to leave for an extended period of time, we aren't sure what to do.  Thanks for any suggestions.

I am so sorry about your loss. What an incredibly stressful time for you, made even MORE stressful. I so wish I could help you out. But, hey, if you fly through Denver I will nurse/sit/train Abby till you are ready to have her back.

All my best.

I'm so sorry for your loss, its a difficult situation you are in.  The vet seems like a good idea but also can be very expensive, is there a friend or someone that could take your puppy while you are away, maybe someone that does not have a dog?  Its tough because puppies are so much work.  I hope everything works out for you.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Julie, when are you leaving?

Any news on this situation???

I was wondering the same thing. So sad.

I am so sorry for your family's loss.  Glad the breeder came through for you and you don't have this added burden in you time of grief.

Sorry for your family's loss.  Also glad breeder came through.

I'm sure Abby will be a welcome distraction when you get back.

Again please accept our condolences.

That is good to hear, and the best option by far. Now that Abby is being taken care of your family can start the healing process from this sad situation. My prayers are with you all.

So glad to hear that this finally worked out for you so that you can just concentrate on the things that are in need of your immediate attention.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time.

Ditto to everyone else's comments. I'm glad your breeder came through for you and your family can get through this difficult time without additional worries.

This must have been such a relief for you, Julie--one less thing to worry about. It sounds like Abby is in good hands; I'm sure it will be a happy reunion when you return home. My condolences on your family's loss.
