So off we went in hopes of finding bitter apple spray to stop the gnawing puppies from completely devouring the puppy gate.  Couldn't find bitter apple, but hey...bitter cherry should do the trick right? Oh, well.... as it turns out,  THEY LOVE IT!!!  We're practically rewarding them for eating their way out of the dining room.

Note to self: "Almost the same" isn't!

Better watch it if you are cutting up that jalapeno.  Sometimes it is hard to get off your hands.  My husband uses tabasco sauce and the dogs don't like that. And, he has plenty of it around, because he DOES like it.  Then there is this terrible sauce that someone gave my husband.  It is called Ultimate Insanity Gourmet Hot Sauce, but I would not recommend that for anyone!
  LOL!   Lol!   LOL!
lol !!   rufus started to do it to the legs on the end tables and coffee table i used apple cider vinger
LOL! Darwin loves bitter apple flavor so I feel your pain. Thank heavens he wasn't big on chewing furniture.
LOL!!! Did you get puppies or beavers? Or maybe termitedoodles? I was fortunate that Tara HATED bitter apple so we just doused everything in the house with it including ourselves!!  Sounds like you are going to have to take it to the next level. Let us know how the hot peppers work!!
I found bitter lime, Quincy hates it, after the first spray all I had to do was show him the bottle and he would stop whatever he was chewing.
Hilarious - Doodles are so smart.

My company Real Pet Solutions makes stuff that is a great deal stronger then bitter apple. and that other stuff bitter cherry that you tried on the gate. Puppies are a very problematic thing because not only are they teething but they are also contain very high amounts of energy. With this double whammy this is why it can be very hard to stop a puppy from chewing.

One of the first things which I would assume has been completed is giving the puppies a great deal of toys. Another thing that I would assume has been done is letting the puppies out to play for a good amount of time each day. A puppy who is tuckered out and asleep will not be chewing a gate down.

When that is just not enough..... Real Pet Solutions Bitter Dog Training Aids

We have a number of different products all are safe, non toxic and a great deal more concentrated then other competitors products.

The company was actually made and my inspiration was not a Doodle, it was my cat Baxter. Baxter has a tendency to eat electrical wires, cords, cables, and  a number of other things.

One day he actually chewed right through that plastic tube that carries water to your ice maker on the back of the refrigerator. Well that caused a flood in the house in the middle of the night. When I woke up the next morning my whole basement was flooded.

I went to the pet store and the sales person actually instructed me that none of the stuff they had would work. Nothing would stick to rubbers and plastics. So right from that moment I knew what had to be done and the rest is history.

One of the largest complaints about consumers is that the existing products that are on the market do not work. They are not strong enough, or there is no proper bond established with the area that the pet is chewing on.

Select the right product for the right job, but please remember some animals are even more determined then the strongest of product. and for those very rare circumstances, All Real Pet Solutions Products come with a 30 day money back guarantee.

Another great resource that i have been producing is a blog for real pet solutions. It is hosted on blogger. I am going to be releasing an article on Xylitol and the dangers it poses to dogs. This substance is actually found in many different chewing gums. It also has many different uses that have shown benefits to humans. Since it has shown so many different benefits its not going away any time soon. I thought I would share this information to the Doodle community before the press is released Sunday morning.

Hope this some of this information helps

Try toothpaste - smear a little on, my girls hate the smell. Our trainer suggested it for a foster that loved drinking out of the toilet bowl. She suggested putting it it just the ends and the middle. Don't glob it on, you don't want them getting too much. Just a little thin line. If they lick it, they should hate it. Good luck!!

Do not use toothpaste, most contain Xylitol. and this will kill your dog!

Also the other things toothpaste has is Fluoride which is yes RAT POISON!

Please look things up before you do anything such as this. do not take my word alone for it.

Our dogs loved the bitter apple. Our vet said mix water and vinegar in a spray bottle. That worked for about 2 seconds. Good luck!
