We're back with puppies!

DH, Cody and I left yesterday morning at 6am to pick up our puppy as well as another for someone else. We got our chocolate male goldendoodle and a female chocolate labradoodle. We had a 6 hr drive to the breeder, then what we thought was a one hr drive to the hotel. A couple of major accidents going into Toronto turned it into an extra 3 1/2 hrs to get to the hotel. Talk about tired.

The puppies had a blast in the hotel room and we had a blast watching them. The female was full of mischief, chewing wires, dresser knobs, dumping out food and water bowls etc etc. She would dump out the water bowl, roll in the water, then take the dish and run away with it. She didn't want to eat standing so she would dump the food on the floor too. What a mess! Didn't care, not my house.

Very tiring but all in all, a good trip. My new baby is adorable of course. He is smart as a whip. He has figured out where his food & water is, where the back door is and how to get up the back porch steps. When I put him out, he does his business. Yankee was a little freaked out when I showed up with 2 puppies. He seems to be settling now that everyone is gone and it's quiet. Also, his first time without me overnight. My daughter said he was freaking.

The pups were great in the truck, no problems at all. Here's a couple of pics of our trip.

Mine has the red collar, male goldendoodle. WE HAVE NO NAME YET! We had about 20, none seem to fit.

No, we can't go to the Pit yet. Yankee still wants to go so I may take him tomorrow. I'll just have to clean him up before he gets near the puppy.

Oh my, your new little guy is precious! I love my red goldendoodle and would be delighted to find a gorgeous chocolate guy. Is your boy an F1B?

Have fun watching your new baby grow -- the time just goes by so fast, doesn't it! And Yankee should help teach him "the ropes." When Connor was a puppy, my newfie taught him many good dog things. :-)
