I am brand new to Dk, having just joined the other day, and can't tell you how glad I am to have found it. I posted my first discussion the other day about how I lost my dog and that I was getting my first doodle in a couple of months and I just wanted to shout out a big THANK YOU to everyone on all the good wishes on my new upcoming puppy and all of the heartfelt condolences on the loss of Ginger. I can say that all of your kind words made me feel better in one night than I have in months. People who love dogs are special people indeed! Can't wait for the puppy and to share her with all of you!

There is sooooo much to this site.  Friendships with others who are also nuts about their dogs; Knowledge - grooming, nutrition, health, etc with people who 'have been there' and done the research; Social - just plain fun in special areas of interest - gardening, photography, training......

Now you just need to have a  puppy naming 'contest' and you are good to go.
