I was just bringing groceries in for my mother and using the "Wait" command each time I opened the door to the garage so that Sunny wouldn't get out. I started to think about how often I use each of Sunny's commands, and the list in order of popularity is something like this:

1. Wait (she has to wait for me to go through doors and gates first, and I tell her to wait when I leave for work so she doesn't bolt out with me like she did when she was a puppy)

2. Sit (for a greeting, for food or a treat)

3. Leave it (usually referring to my other dog or my pet bearded dragons)

4. Walk Pretty

5. High Five

What does your list look like?

I would have to go with "NO BARK" as the most popular on around here.  (Although they are getting much better with that lately).
Does "UH-UH-UH!" count as a command?  It is short for stop whatever it is you are doing right this instant young man and look at me.
I used it on my kids too...uh-uh-uh.. in that mean mommy voice when I couldn't remember the name of the kid or could not get me my words ou fast enought..for example:  uh-uh-uh meant "get back from that laundry basket full of folded clothes"..as one was crawling for it... or uh uh uh for " don't even think of sitting down when you have homework to do".. directed at a teenager..or uh uh uh... "that last beer is mine" looking at husband holding the last cold one while standing in front of the fridge.
It's definitely a multipurpose command! :)
Yes, a very versitile command, suitable for many different situations.

Lately it's been "Stop eating weeds and getting your beard muddy, ROSCO!"  Actually I'm not sure what I use most.  "Back up" or "sit" or "down" and very frequently in the evenings "Boca Quiet!"

The other day Boca was in her crate and made the slightest sound and Natalie called out "Cut it out Boca."  Clark was home and asked Natalie "Did you say 'cut it out'?" And she answered "Yes, Mommy say." So apparently I say that too!

The only command I have so far is from DH (cause we don't have our dood yet) is...ARE YOU STILL ON THAT DOODLE SITE?  (then I would love to give him one of Jane's "special hand signals")
HA, Melody!  Your DH sounds like mine!!!  I'm telling you...that Divorced Doodle Moms group is getting closer & closer all the time! LOL
yeah, I might need to be rescued!
You need to find an addicting site for your DH!  Thank goodness Clark and I are both online a lot or else one of us would probably file for a divorce due to the other's internet time!
lol
