What Feature of a Doodle Makes YOU "Melt"?

After being so sidetracked from DK by 'life'  lately, I took sometime yesterday and now this morning to catch-up. (gotta' LOVE those days off from work).  As I was looking at all of the posts and pictures of everyone's doodles, I realized that there was one feature that always gave me an "AWE!" moment.  Now we all love doodles for their intelligence, comical ways, and 'special' looks, but what is it that gives you that AWE MOMENT?   For me.... it's a really black nose.  I love the contrast of a black nose against the hair on a doodles face. Now, although it's very hard to see Tori's little black nose, it's there.  But on those lighter colored doodles - it is something that truly melts my heart!

For me it is Stuart's BIG black nose - I kiss it a lot!  On Rooney it has always been his cute teddy bear walking doodle butt.

You are all right...those bit fat noses are just the BEST....But....when my doodles make eye contact and holds it....I call that "SOUL STARING" as I feel they are actually talking with their eyes and trying to tell me something. Whether it's "I want a treat", "I want a walk" or "I just want something" ...I feel they are definitely trying to talk to you. No matter whose doodle I look at, the eyes are always the same and I just melt.

I agree.  The doodle eyes are so expressive.  I think it has to do with their long eyelashes.

I agree!  Luna has very soulful eyes, and since she has a smooth face her expressive eyebrows are even easier to see.

 

What REALLY melts me is when she puts her little head in my lap because she wants some cuddles.

Kona has the most soulful expression and he truly can get whatever he wants from me when he looks into my eyes. Most often he just wants a scratch or two. At 4:15 pm he gives me those eyes asking for dinner (which happens at 5:00)

Yes, it's just amazing how long doodles can keep an eye contact. Monty is the same way, he just stares right into my eyes waiting for me to say something. And I return the stare without any words....so we stand there quietly for a while. Monty is usually the first to break the gaze...I can tell its coming when he suddenly starts wagging his tale during the "gaze off" and then lets the exitement out with a goofy squeeky "woof". Just love that!
