We are getting her in November and she is very light in color. I was thinking London but I'm really not sure. We have one already and her name is Ava. Suggestions would help! Thank you.

What I did prior to getting my puppy, I went online and looked at names for dogs.  I culled my own list of favorites.  When the puppy came home we reviewed the list the next day, and for us it was easy peasy to select a name that fit him.

Although, I think my next dog should be named Auggie....ha, this is meant for Jarka, Monty & Auggie!!!

I had a lab named Aztec, it fit him perfectly! Next dog a golden named Xena, again perfect!  You'll know the right name when you come across it.

Sharon, I don't know why but the name Aztec reminded me of the name of my horse I had in high school (way back in the dark ages).  His name was Mecca.

oh I like Mecca for a name!  Aztec was a name I got from one of my dreams, a nonsensical dream that it was.  I still like it. How about my cat named Ratman, after scat man corothers?  lol

I was going to suggest Zsa Zsa then I remembered her sister was Eva Gabor, not Ava. :*)

Maria! Ava Maria, get it? (the song) just kidding really--you have to try different names and see what sounds right to you--but try to go for a different sound so that the two dogs can differentiate their names easily --that makes it easier when you want one to stay and the other to come to you!

I love the name London! That's very different and cute! You have to say the name over and over and also shorten it to what you think you will call her in a hurry or when exasperated. We end up calling Daphne just Daph and it sounds kind of goofy. My husband hates it when I shorten it but I love him anyway..LOL!

Love it!!!

Congratulations, I am starting to get a really bad case of puppy fever and I'm a little jealous. She will probably look like a little cotton ball so maybe Cotton.

Somehow, my mind went from London to Bridges to Bridget.  You'll come up with something that's perfect.

I like London.  It is different enough from Ava that the dogs would not get confused when you call them.  If you want more ideas, think of hobbies you have or things you like.  For example I am currently reading a series of novels about Alaska and as I read, I have added lots of names to my imaginary list.  Or perhaps you cook, garden, sail, or fly, and some vocabulary from those interests would make great names.  If she is light in color how about Opal (jewels are also on my imaginary list)?
