Has this question come up yet? While reading the bed discussion, it made me think of Riley's bad habit. She waits until we are ready to sleep and starts chomping on her nails. Thankfully she is in her bed but it is so gross to hear. Crunch..crunch..crunch... The silver lining is that we don't have to clip nails much. :-/

Hilarious Riley!
Funny!
The pictures are adorable! The expressions are priceless!

I like this post. I wish mine bit their nails!!! My two don't drink either when we are gone and I've always wondered if it was something they all did. Bella is my quirky one. She moans. and moans and moans especially when she is happy. It's a happy moan, like someone rubbing your back and you just go AHHHHH, when it feels really good. You would think she was telling you something because if you talk back to her she keeps looking at you and responds with her low grunty moan.

When its time to go for a walk though, she cries and moans, until you get her leash on and outside, because she gets so excited she can't control herself.

She also lays her head on our laps and stares at us until we rub her, and then she moans. I should have named her MONA!!!!

I am editing: now that I think about it, Bella's moans are more like a dog purr. Never thought of it that way, but it's a perfect word for what she sounds like.

That's a good one! Riley will groan when we make her do something she doesn't want to. Like she's saying "awe Mom do I have to?" It's as if she is a teenager grumbling and talking back.
Gavin doesn't drink either. He goes into stasis when we leave lol.
Penny is a puppy so what bad habit doesn't she have? Ha! Her favorite thing of all (right now) is stealing my slippers. She has never grown tired of this apparently masterful feat. She thinks she's being very clever, yet when she swipes them she takes them to the same place in the house every time. BTW, our lab-mix (Lexi), chews her nails, trimming them herself. We never have to pay to have her nails done. Years and years ago, I had a beagle that did the same thing.

Ned used to unzip pillows with his teeth and pull out the stuffing. He never bothered pillows without zippers or those without 'cotton' stuffing he could pull out.  He did not chew the pillow or the stuffing, just unzipped and de-stuffed.  We had to put those pillows away until he outgrew it.

Wow! That's a smart dood. It's funny how he knew not to eat it, just de-stuff it. I'm amazed at how Riley will destroy some stuffed toys immediately and others she has nibbled on for years without hurting. How does she decide?

I can't figure out how they know this stuff?

I agree Ned is a genius!

Ned thanks you for that remark, Ricki!  He is still pining for a pin up photo of Tara in one of her darling outfits!
