Scarlet is just a pup and not even home for a week yet. The past few nights she has been getting up every 1 1/2 hrs or so and usually goes pee and poo both. Yesterday I stopped all food and water around 6 pm and she still went pee almost every hour or so during the night??? I usually try to go to bed around 11 ?? Please advise what has worked for you and your pup. I'm really tired :)  She has been eating about 6 am, noon, and 6 pm. She has a small bowl of water with each meal and I don't give her anymore after she finishes that. Would love some help!!

FWIW - put me in the leave the water down camp.  I have never taken up water.  My breeder may not have been the best (I did not know about testing back then) but she fed decent food and she told me at least three times and wrote it down in capital letters on Gavin's information sheet to allow access to lots of fresh water in a stainless steal bowl at all times.  So I did.  Gavin typically has a big drink of water each time after relieving himself.  He also has his pre-bed snack at midnight and the very last thing that he does before turning in is have a big drink of water.  He sometimes drinks in the night too.  I keep an extra bowl of water in the bathroom, which is his watering hole of preference.

Your girl is so young, her bladder is likely very immature still or she may have a UTI.  I would test to have it ruled in or out when you go for the giardia test.  The good news is she is waking you up instead of just sneaking off and relieving herself in the house.  Good girl.

Water all night here too. When Oliver was between 9 and 16 weeks old he slept in an x-pen with his bed, snuggle toy, chew, water bowl, and potty pad (bad I know). I forgot about this until right now, but we set up a little fan outside his pen because the white noise and breeze seemed to help him relax and fall asleep. Perhaps the fan might work with your little one (just make sure the fan is elevated incase of a water spill).

Oh I remember those days, just like babies is right. LOL  My older dog did most of the training when I got Ozzy and Zoey so that helped lots.  It will get easier now I get up and the doodles do not want to get out of bed.  Sometime I have to make them  come downstairs and go out.  Good luck - this too shall pass.

Thanks everyone for all the advise yesterday. Scarlet went to the vet today and indeed did have parasites. She didn't have a UTI ....maybe just eating too much snow. As far as holding her water the vet told me to give her a little sip right before bed and if she drinks  it like she's famished then I may need to keep it out longer but if she only takes a little sip and isn't too interested then she is probably ok with the amount that she is getting..makes sense. Thanks again!!!

Thanks for the update. And yes that does make sense that if she doesn't seem to need water at night then you have your answer. I think it was the snow! Hope she is better soon.

When my doodles were puppies I would pick up the water about 3 hrs before I went to bed.  I fed them and still do twice a day and I try to stick to the same time so we are all on a schedule.  I feed them at 6 a.m and 6 pm and they trained very well with no accidents in the crate.

Maybe she just knows that when she cries you come to her.  If you pick up food, water AND no treats she should be able to hold it.  Maybe work up to it... let her out before you go to bed and if she barks I would ignore her, you need to teach her that she has to learn to hold it.  This all comes as they grow.
