Well, I got accepted into my Early Childhood Education Cohort program that I applied for a couple of months ago, one step closer to getting my dream job in Child Life! Being accepted into the program means, Cally and I are moving (an added bonus is that my cousin goes to this school, so we will be living together!)! I signed my lease two weeks ago and we are all set on our place to live and being ready for that but I need to find a vet! I have just been using the vet my whole family takes their animals, so I never really looked into this before.

What are some things I should look for in a new vet? If you could have certain things in a Vet, what would be things you look for.  Do you know of sites that I could search for a vet, based on certain criteria? Is it necessary to only look at AAHA accredited offices?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you! LOL, I knew what you meant!

Thank you!

Congratulations Brittany!  All good suggestions here.  Good luck!

Thank you Cheryl!

Is it important to have a vet that is AAHA accredited? I do not think my current vet it but I see signs on some other vets around town stating they are. What does that mean?

Thank you. Would you say this is important then?

I never looked but I think it's a good idea.

Congratulations, Brittney, and good luck with finding a good, local vet (that came out sounding sarcastic, NOT what I meant at all!). I use to think my vet was the best around, but due to his not always being available when I needed him, we've had to see other vets in the same office. I've thought they were all very good! My point being, there's a lot of good ones out there.
