Where do you get the best deal, consistently, on Frontline Plus? I've always gotten it via Dr. Foster's and Smith and need to stock up again but haven't really shopped around.

I was going to start Goldie on Frontline Plus and Heartguard. I've been using Revolution but since it does not cover ticks I need to change by her next dose due date since ticks are a major problem in the Spring/Summer here. I had planned on finding them cheaper online but from this discussion I think I'll be checking to see if my vet carries both of these. Are there any safe places to order online or is going through a vet pretty much the safest bet?
With the Heartgard, I really feel it is safest to get it from the vet. It's not like you can save a ton of money buying it elsewhere.
Frontline, I think you're okay ordering it, as long as the company is reputable. Foster & Smith have been around a long time. I spoke to a Merial rep and he confirmed that Merial does sell to F & S and their products are the real thing.
I always buy from the vet...Just in case...
this is a little off the exact topic...But my search for Fronline & weight broght up nothing (though I can never get the search to work good for me)
Anyway- I was wondering what size you buy in the frontline if your dog is just a few #s over.
There is a size/dose that is 23-44#. Trixie weighs 47-49#...her weight seems to vary.
The next size is 45-88#. While I know I dont want to under medicate- as I want the stuff to work.
I really dont want to over medicate either.
What size to buy?
Hmmm...Ok I went to look to see if I had any left from last year. I have an un opened package of the 44# size...
Oh yes, I forgot about the heartguard weight cut off. I always had dogs around 60# & I still didnt like giving a 50-100# pill...Cant they make a cut off at 75# I always wondered.
I am glad Trixie is not 51# LOL
No Fleas in MN (well I am sure occasionally) But they arent a problem here...so I mainly use the frontline for Ticks...Usually I use it for 2 months...Unless they are still being found in the area- then I use a 3rd month
(that is a nice deal your vet is running)
So I just went to my vet to purchase Goldie's Heartgard supply and they stopped carrying it. They said they didn't have enough demand for the supply. With this discussion about purchasing Heartgard from vets for safety reasons now I'm worried. They told me they would write a prescription for it from 800-PetMeds. Is that a reliable source for this? It sounds like it would be but figured I would continue on this discussion where it was brought up.
I have bought things from them and I think they are as reliable as anything : )
