Why are some people so rude ????

Since the weather was so nice for March in NW Indiana yesterday (yeah), I decided to take Chewie for a walk on a walking path.  On the mile and a half path I lost count of all the the dog poop that some owners did NOT clean up.  It was disgusting.  I spent most of the time saying "No" and "Leave It".   Not sure why some people do not clean up after their dogs ??  Please remember to carry your bags with you when you go for walks.  Thanks !!

Really, it gives a bad rap to us all. Cleanup is not hard to do and leaves the place much nicer for everyone. When I was a kid there were signs in the city parks that read:
Let it never be said and said to your shame
That all was beauty here before you came.

This is what I have discovered about this problem. Some people (dogwalkers included)feel that if the poop is deposited while in a wooded area that it is OK to leave it. ( considered part of nature) We were at our dog park which is acres and acres of conservation land and the dogs are all running around off leash. If one of them "left a deposit" it probably stays where it lays. Having said that, if I see our dog pooping, we always pick it up but most don't. These same people would most likely pick it up while walking there dog in their neighbourhood.

But this was almost all on the cement sidewalk. That is just gross. We actually had to walk around it in several places. I am sure the joggers are cussing us dog owners.

I have to admit that I do not pick it up if we are in the woods of field........but ALWAYS pick it up on a walking path................that would be rude to leave it!!

We went to a park near us and we were commenting that I don't think anyone besides us actually clean up after their dogs. It is very gross!!

I like the "got poop, please scoop" better than "got poop, will scoop" only because I wouldn't want people thinking I was about to pick up after their dog. Haha.

I think there is a local Company here that's slogan is "Got Poop, We'll Scoop" or something to that effect. They were at Bark in the Park when we went last year and they were doing the scooping! I like "Got Poop, Please scoop" as well.
