Thought I would share this story since some DK members use Petco for grooming.  I couldn't imagine the heartache this poor lady must have felt.  I just don't understand how staff could be so unaware to the fact the dog was suffering.  What is wrong with people?

Not all groomers use those. None of the groomers I have ever used used them. Just make sure to ask.

I'm not reading it either.  That's definitely made up my mind.  Riley will be going to the "Harris Parlor" (a rubber mat on a kitchen table) and will be pampered and groomed entirely in his own home from now on.  An horrendous story for that poor dog and the poor owner.

This is horrifying!  When you really think about it, consider how warm/ hot we humans can get simply by using a regular old hair dryer....

How awful.  I hope this woman gets the justice she deserves.

My wonderful groomer does not even own a cage. My dogs run free before and after their groom. No wonder this place is called l Taj Ma Paw Doggie grooming....It really is the "bees knees"

This really brought tears to my eyes-I heard about it but seeing the picture of the dog ans knowing it went for a bath and grooming and never made it out. I use Pet smart for a brush out for Myla sometimes and that is it. She tries the bath thing there and was so afraid of the cage dryer that she pooped in the cage and won't even go in the backroom. From that point we bathe them at home where we know they are safe. She can still brush her after she's dry. It's such a shame.
